During a panel discussion, Annela Laaneots, head of Tartu 2024, presented the “ECOC Echo” legacy project, led by Tartu 2024. This initiative brings together nine past, present, and future European Capitals of Culture to ensure that the positive impact of the title year endures long after it concludes.

Participants shared their experiences of the journey towards the title year and discussed the challenges cities face when developing ambitious cultural programmes and considering how to carry their work forward beyond the title year.
