Recognition

The Capital of Culture is gaining recognition!

A vibrant cultural celebration was born from the blending of the unique character and traditions of Tartu, Põlva, Võru, and Valga counties, as well as the city of Viljandi. This has also been the largest joint project in South Estonia’s history, with an impact that reaches beyond this region and this year.

On this page, you will find nominations and recognitions for outstanding events that highlight the importance of the Capital of Culture as a regional force, as well as the significance of the project leaders and creators in both Estonia and Europe.
