Tartu 2024 invites to the Kultuurikompass Forum to discuss the impact and legacy of the ECoC
On 18–19 September, Tartu 2024 invites you to the Kultuurikompass Forum “Is This the European Capital of Culture We Dreamed Of?”.

Over two days, cultural experts from Estonia and abroad will gather at the Heino Eller Music School to reflect on the journey of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 and to discuss its legacy and impact.
At Kultuurikompass, stories from the Tartu 2024 journey will be shared, lessons from challenges reflected upon, and the results of what was achieved in Tartu and South Estonia analysed. Discussions will focus on three key questions: what was done within Tartu 2024, how it went, and what its impact has been. Both Estonian and international experts will contribute, offering perspectives on different dimensions of the European Capital of Culture process.
Topics will include the data collected by Tartu 2024, how these relate to the expectations and experiences of cultural creators, and the broader question of how cultural impact can be measured. The forum will also revisit the major successes and lessons learned, while exploring ways to sustain the synergy and cooperation initiated by the Capital of Culture title in the region.
The Tartu 2024 Foundation will also present the final report at the forum, summarising the journey from winning the title and preparing the programme to its implementation.
The event will be held in Estonian and English. Participation is free of charge, but pre-registration on the Tartu 2024 website is required.
Kultuurikompass is a programme for cultural organisers that brings together cultural actors, creators, and creative and social entrepreneurs to share knowledge and experiences.
