XI international A-festival “World is a circus”

The 11th International A-Festival “The World is a Circus” will take place from October 10th to 12th at Genialistide Klubi and Tartu Student House. At this year's A-Festival, juggling balls and clubs will fly, there will be a fireshow, and all friends of the Tartu Student Theater can clink glasses together, as we are also celebrating TÜT's 25th birthday.

On October 10th and 11th at 21:00 at Genialistide Klubi, the Austrian contemporary circus troupe Dada Zirkus, who won the hearts of Tartu audiences in 2021, will perform!
Their show “Genesis” tells the story of the creation of the world through an absurd lens. Specially created (live) music for the performance, combined with acrobatics, juggling, puppet theater, and physical theater, creates an unforgettable stage artwork.

On October 11th at 19:00 at Tartu Student House,
VU Kinetic Theatre’s dance performance “Hommo in Maxima” is an experiment that tries to cover the evolution of four values since Lithuania’s accession to the European Union. These values are love, affection, security, and the understanding of life’s meaning. Their participation in our festival enhances theater collaboration among the Baltic states.

On October 12th at 19:00 at Town Hall Square
The Flame Rain Theater from Belgium, which has won several awards in Europe, together with our own Fire Theatre Zerkala, perform a funny and captivating fire show in the heart of the city, which is also suitable for the smallest of the family. There are no ticket sales for the show, the event is based on donations.
