Info
unda is a festival in Southern Estonia that celebrates club culture, connection, and the power of dance.
unda explores the links between club culture, music, dance, and anthropology. It honors the vitality of communal dancefloor spaces through global club music and live performances, emphasizing the cultural significance of gathering together and the act of dancing.
The event occurs during the Autumn equinox, representing the balance between day and night, light and dark, movement and stillness.
unda features talks, workshops, exhibits, and performances highlighting the power of communal spaces to address societal and environmental disparities.
unda will take over the Estonian National Museum, Tartu, throughout the night on Friday and Saturday, with an opening ceremony on Thursday. The museum is a striking architectural masterpiece on an ex-Soviet airfield surrounded by wetlands.
unda is part of the Tartu, European Capital of Culture’s “Arts of Survival” program.
