Portraits of well-known citizens of Tartu will be exhibited on the light poles on Küüni Street next to Tartu Central Park from April 4 to June 2 2024. Up to 180 students from Tartu elementary schools take part in this art project. The result of the joint creation of three-member groups are works of art made of recycled materials. All the works reflect the personality of the group of artists.

The content of this art project is to create an exhibition of portraits of well-known residents of Tartu. It is a project aimed at school students, in which a group of students participates, and the result of their joint creation is this work of art. The works will be made from recyclable materials and will decorate the cityscape. The works would be completed by three-member groups formed by students of Tartu primary schools. In total up to 180 students participate.

The works will be exhibited on the light poles near Tartu Central Park on Küüni Street from 03.04-02.06.2024. When creating the works, materials suitable for recycling are used. All the works reflect the personality of the group of artists. After the exhibition, the artists will take the works to their school buildings.

Portraits of famous citizens of Tartu created from recycled materials is a part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main programme.
