“Look into my Ice” Finissage & panel talk

We are thrilled to invite you to our closing event of the 'Look into my Ice' project with a highlight at the end: In cooperation with the Climate Art Collection we welcome you to a panel talk bringing scientists, activists and artists together who all dedicated their strength to find solutions for our planet's future.

Look into my Ice is a romantic initiative to enhance our emotions towards the coldest entity on Earth: Ice. The transeuropean project is part of the official program of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 and offers new ways to approach the disastrous speed of the disappearance of polar and glacial ice as a result of the human made climate crisis.

How can each individual contribute to the well-being of our much needed international community and to our shared planet? Which potential lies in art as the engine of emotional participation and knowledge-making processes? Look into my Ice focuses on the experience of cross-border collectivism to address both the climate crisis and societal cohesion in times of urgently needed unity of minds and hearts.

The exhibition at Tartu Art House is showing 15 international artists from all three European Capitals of Culture 2024: Bad Ischl-Salzkammergut/ Austria, Bodø/ Norway, Tartu/ Estonia and additionally Germany.
