Info
The marathon is an event during which, at previously registered observation sites, participants aim to log every animal, plant and mushroom species they encounter within the 24-hour observation period. Participants’ efforts will be assisted by amateur nature observers as well as scientists. Observations will be recorded in an open-access data portal.
In the days leading up to and during the marathon, a diverse nature education programme will be offered. On marathon days, programme events will be held at observation sites.
Site registration opens on February 1 on the marathon’s website elurikkus.ee/lvm
The programme will be published in May.
Participation is open to everyone. Taking part will allow you to gain new knowledge, contribute to improving our databases and, of course, also share an enjoyable walk in nature.
