“Listen to me!”

Are you tired of the waiting times to see a psychologist? Do you feel that finding connections has become more and more difficult? Do you want to let your emotions out? The Year of Contemporary Art by Youth invites you to event "Listen to me!", that draws attention to loneliness in the city and how difficult it is to get mental health help in Estonia.

The event will take place on Autovabaduse puiestee on 12th of August at 15.30.
For our opening we have a campaign “Come and scream into a pillow!”, where we try to gather 100 people to all scream into a pillow at the same time to draw attention to the shortage of therapists in Estonia and to create an environment, where people can express their feelings of frustration. We are supported by our
Sponsor, bedding manufacturer Wendre, who will supply all of the participants with a free pillow.
After that you can take part in a happening art piece “Come out of your bubble!”. We are trying to create a new, fun and interesting environment for people to meet each other! Two strangers can enter separate bubbles where they will be given random tasks to complete together. In the end we encourage the participants to come out of their bubbles to feel how easy it is to communicate with each other outside of them.
In the background of all those activities you can also fill our “Feelings wall”, which is divided into two parts, one of sides can be filled with things that make you happy and the other with things that bother you. With these feelings walls we acknowledge that every person has their own fears, problems and joys, and that we should treat everyone with kindness and compassion, because no one knows what a person might have gone through before.
