Info
The listening tour is part of the Koidukoor event series. The two-hour workshop takes us to listen to the sounds of an early spring morning. We identify birds and other nature sounds with experts in our field.
The listening tour is facilitated by members of Soundcamp London and John Grzinich
Koidukoor offers the opportunity to experience and learn about Estonia’s extraordinary landscapes and habitats through sounds, at a time of year when the sounds of nature are especially bright. Koidukoor is a multi-day event featuring listening tours, a sound camp and a global live streaming of the sounds of the dawn. Koidukoor culminates with the Dawn Chorus, a day when the natural sounds of sunrise are broadcast over the internet 24 hours a day around the world. The leader of the global Dawn Chorus project is Soundcamp London, who, in cooperation with MoKS and local sound enthusiasts will make global transmission of the nature sounds of Southern Estonia possible.
Koidukoor in Estonian means literally Dawn Chorus
Koidukoor is a part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main program.
