How to build a seed exchange cabinet / “Growing with Your Food”

Seed exchange cabinets are part of the gardening movement. These are self-sufficient places, where people can bring their surplus seeds and take something in exchange.

We are building seed exchange cabinets for Tartu community gardens. Construction will take place on two Sundays, January 21 and 28. Tartu community gardeners and other interested parties are welcome to take part.

The construction is supervised by Gloria Niin, who is a landscape architect and initiator of Emajõe Garden.

The seed exchange cabinets will be opened at the beginning of the gardening season in the spring of 2024.

Lecture is part of the community gardening events of “Growing with Your Food” project. The project is part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main programme.
