This is big festival of estonian national accordions which will take part at open-air summer theatre near Põlva called Intsikurmu.
The festival HARMOONIKA will take place under the pines of Intsikurmu for the 13th time. Estonian national accordion players from all over Estonia will come together to play national music in different groups and in big common orchestra, to learn from masters and enjoy making music together.
A big and important role at the festival is singing together – audience and musicians. This is a part of estonian national accordion tradition too.
On the party stage will keep up the mood also national musicians from Lithuania and from Austria and will perform artists loved by audience.
You can enjoy folk dancing and funny interludes (in estonian) add spice.
The evening ends with dancing.
National accordion festival Harmoonika was launched to revive and enliven the tradition of local accordion makers and players. There is great interest in Harmoonika festivals and there have been thousands of visitors.
Festival Harmoonika is a part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 side programme.
