Info
Do the stars mind you? is a concertjourney that creates a bridge between us and the celestial space. Those who we are not used to hearing comments from- the celestial bodies - can speak. During the event, the audience will be part of a pre-tuning installation, a thought-provoking short lecture by Valdur Mikita, and a spectacular about : river concert. The lecture will be held in Estonian!
The event explores the relationships between people and their surroundings through space, music and words, to find dialogue moments that occur there. Opening up the subject in an unexpected and creative way helps to approach critically important topics in a relaxed way and from a different angle.
The installation will be created especially for the Tartu observatory area. With the help of sound and light, the cosmos and extraterrestrial perception space are made audible and visible. Those from whom we are not used to hearing comments get the floor – the heavenly bodies above our heads.
With the help of technology, a perspective is opened on the astral soul life, and the expected environment that we take for granted takes on a new meaning.
Bring a picnic blanket because the event will be held outdoors. The lecture will be held in Estonian!
Do the stars mind you? is a part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main programme.
