Origin💥

One day, Uku Konsap woke up and wanted to do something cool. He thought for a while and came up with the idea of performing at his final exam with a big band. He called up all his friends🤙🏼 and there it was: a top-level group ready for action. The band was built from scratch in the following 5 months. The day of the exam came, the band stepped on stage for the very first time and played a wonderful and experience-rich half-hour of music. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, Uku Konsap Bigband was born.

The setlist🎶

Uku Konsap Bigband is back and thirstier than before 💦 They have prepared a new programme and will bring you the best of big band music from all around the world, from the Dominican Republic to Japan! You think that jazz is boring?? Come and see👀 the opposite.
You can expect:
Funk fuel and swing classics that’ll make your feet tap along even against your will
Heartwarming and soul-stirring ballads
Temperamental Latin American music
Humorous pop covers
Original compositions by young Estonian jazz composers

Who is Uku Konsap?🤔

In short, he is a poor IT student. To introduce him a bit more, he is an ambitious boy from Võru, who accidentally stumbled across saxophone🎷 at the age of 7 and has not looked back since. He continued his studies in Tartu and has now reached the IT bachelor’s program at University of Tartu, but still dedicates his free moments to music🎵. He has come to the understanding that “if you don’t do it yourself, then no one else will,” and therefore, he actively participates in organizing student life and promotes the music scene in Southern Estonia.
