A journey to the arts of survival
The play “airs between us” is a journey around the world in changing weather. In an abandoned school building in Kambja, doors open to Greece, Bangladesh, Sicily, Nigeria and Sierra Leone. People from all over the world share their experiences of surviving in their environment. If and how is it possible? Have they had to reorganize their lives and mindsets? What are the dreams of those who live in places threatened by increasing droughts, floods, hurricanes? What is their message to us?
This is not a play about the green transition, the focus is on meeting people whom we consider strangers, but with whom we share a common planet. What can we learn from the experiences and worldview of those hardened in crises? What does the silence after the storm talk about? And above all – how to live, grow (perhaps even flourish), whatever the climate is?
