The "5 Days of Võru Municipality" event series are part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 additional program. The seventh event series "5 Days of Võru Municipality" will take place on September 7 in Vastseliina. This event series is the result of collaborative efforts between community non-profit organizations, community centers, youth centers, libraries, and other community activist

The “5 Days of Võru Municipality” event series was commenced in 2018 following an administrative reform that merged five smaller municipalities into one larger Võru Municipality. The series aims to introduce the diverse activities of the communities from these five merged municipalities and highlight the uniqueness of the regions to external guests. It also seeks to foster regional integration through various activities and promote mutual understanding of each other’s traditions, both historical and contemporary. Today, the event has become an annual tradition held during the summer period, with each year focusing on different themes, such as tourism, business, folk culture, physical activities, sports, and more. These regional days can also be considered homecoming days, where former residents return to their municipalities and visitors from outside can participate in the local cultural experience.
