It is no surprise that NOËP would be the opening act for the singer. He is the ambassador of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 and the author of the culture capital’s official theme song “Young Blood Bity”. “It will be more intimate than my usual set, but the synthesizer sounds won’t go unheard,” shared NOËP. “As a hint, I can say that fans of The Cinematic Orchestra’s song ‘To Build A Home’ should come. There will be other musicians on stage with me in addition to a guitarist and drummer – this will be one of the most unique concerts this summer.”

The evening’s headliner, London-based multi talent Jacob Collier, has been hailed by many prestigious publications as one of the most innovative musicians of his generation – his work spans pop, jazz and classical music. Joining Collier on 18 July at the Tartu Song Celebration Grounds is the 10-time Grammy Award-winning and globally acclaimed a cappella vocal sextet Take 6, whom Quincy Jones has dubbed “the most masterful voices on this planet”. They performed a joint concert in the United States last year, and now the collaboration is coming to Europe for the first time.

Take 6 is an American a cappella group that started in the 80s, drawing inspiration from jazz and gospel. They have released 14 albums, won ten Grammy awards, and collaborated with artists like Ray Charles, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, and Quincy Jones, to name a few.

Jacob Collier and Take 6 concert is part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 program. Tickets are available at Piletikeskus and Piletilevi, and on-site before the concert starts.
