Information day 22.10: Tartu 2024 looks for major international projects for the ECoC programme
The Tartu 2024 Foundation invites cultural organisers to offer international events to the European Capital of Culture programme. The application round for international projects, which will open at the beginning of 2022, will be introduced in Tartu on Friday, October 22.
According to Tartu 2024 creative director Kati Ilves, the goal of Tartu and Southern Estonia as the European Capital of Culture is to offer special and innovative experiences to audiences both from Estonia and abroad. In order to create a comprehensive programme, the Tartu 2024 Foundation also supports large and medium-sized international events, which are planned to take place in 2024 in Tartu.
“The information day is a good opportunity for creative people, organisers, producers, entrepreneurs and heads of institutions to get acquainted with the principles of the forthcoming international application round and meet the Tartu 2024 team. Our artistic concept Arts of Survival, awaits outstanding interpretations in various genres and formats, “said Ilves.
The information day will take place on 22 October from 13.00-14.00 at Waf Lounge. The information day will also be broadcast on the Tartu 2024 website and on YouTube.
The application round for international projects will open in January 2022. The information day will also discuss the next rounds of projects of the European Capital of Culture set to take place in 2023.
The organisers ask you to register your participation at www.tartu2024.ee/tartuinfopaev. The event is organised according to the rules of public events, which help to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The COVID medical certificate is checked on entry. Rapid testing is not offered.
