Fly high, Tartu 2024 youth program Extended group V !

This year was for youth international, in cooperation with members of the youth program of next year’s European Capital of Culture Lipepaja 2027 within the framework of the Youth Connect project.

“Tartu 2024 Extended” is a development program aimed at young people aged 14–19 in Tartu and Southern Estonia, where in a nine-session program, they learn together how to organize international cultural events.

The Tartu 2024 youth program Extended was created by Tartu 2024 with the next generation of cultural organizers in Tartu and Southern Estonia in mind, so that young people interested in culture can receive guidance and advice and, as a result of a six-month learning process, try their hand at organizing a cultural event themselves.

“Southern Estonian youth are creative and resourceful. During this year-long program, we wanted to bring together tradition and drag, organize a beach party, introduce cultural specialties, create a fashion show and pop-up concerts. I believe that such new experiments will increase the creation of and participation in culture by young people,” said Angela Ader, Head of Tartu 2024 Youth Program.

“The Tartu 2024 Youth Program Extended is certainly an important part of the legacy of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, and we will announce the application for the next flight already in the autumn-winter,” said Annela Laaneots, Head of Tartu 2024.
