Äksi [Pre]Opinion Festival

Ahead of the Opinion Festival in Paide in August, everyone who appreciates good discussion culture and is passionate about a sustainable future, along with conscious environmental protection and art, is invited to the shores of Lake Saadjärv.

In cooperation with the Opinion Festival in Paide, the second Äksi [Pre]Opinion Festival will take place on July 20th in front of and inside the Ice Age Centre. Discussions will be held in three tents,

focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly living. Topics include the relationship between nature and literature (which is not explicitly nature writing), how to host large events sustainably, and how modern design can support the continuation of ancient creations. The discussions will follow the good practices of the Opinion Festival in Paide.

All active and environmentally conscious individuals who care about a cleaner and more sustainable Estonia were welcome at the festival. Alongside the [pre]opinion festival, the 12th anniversary of the Ice Age Centre as an environmental education center was also celebrated.

The discussions were be complemented by workshops on art and environmental art.

In a world with a changing climate, nature and art are anchor points to hold onto, making survival more joyful and colorful. The development of a good discussion culture helps us all listen to, hear, and understand each other better.
