Info

Creative Nature Festival invites everyone to discover the diversity of life around us, to reflect on bonds between nature and culture and to enjoy works of art inspired by nature.

Let’s join up to map links between nature and creativity and use festival events and activities to share information as well as memorable experiences. Taking note of the nature and diversity surrounding us will help us tap into our inner wellspring of creativity and provide an excellent start for in-depth consideration of environmental matters.

Main events:

5th to 7th of June: Conference „Traces of Extinction: Species Loss, Solastalgia, and Semiotics of Recovery“. The conference is organised by the Department of Semiotics, University of Tartu
8th of June: Bird Jam. A concert event that combines music, word art, and birdsong
From 8th to 9th of June: Nature Observation Marathon
13th to 15th of June: Multimedia production “The Birth of the Emajõgi”

Creative Nature Festival is organised by the University of Tartu Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden in cooperation with partners across Estonia.
