Open Call: School of Participation for Creative Practitioners interested in Community Art and Anthropology in the City
Photo: School of Participation
In recent decades, cities have undergone dramatic social, economic and cultural changes, triggering debates about the design and the use of urban space. For one week, the School of Participation will explore an artistic research process on topics of urban development, gentrification, living together, social segregation and displacement. The participants will find out how people living in Graz (and elsewhere) experience those changes and how they would create urban spaces if they were asked to bring in their ideas.
The School of Participation invites 25 practitioners to work together – applicants may be artists, teachers, scientists, students, activists, volunteers etc. but must be interested in collaborative artistic processes. Travel costs and accommodation will be covered by the school.
If travelling to Graz is not possible, online workshops will start earlier, in July 2021.
To apply, send your CV and a brief personal statement (interests, motivation) to Triin Pikk, triin.pikk@tartu2024.ee, +372 5340 7118 . Deadline: 10 June 2021.
