Kultuurikompass: „Is This the European Capital of Culture We Dreamed of?”
09:30 - 00:00
Tartu city | Heino Eller Music College
Info
We will explore the stories, challenges, and insights shaping the cultural landscape of Tartu and Southern Estonia – with lessons for other cities and regions in Europe.
During the forum we will explore:
✔ Key numbers and impacts of Tartu 2024 – we’ve gathered the data – but do the figures match the feelings?
✔ Moments of brilliance & blind spots: what worked, what did we miss? Which ideas could spark lasting change, and which lessons must we learn?
✔ Measuring the immeasurable: can we truly capture cultural impact? How do we move beyond data to understand real transformation?
✔ What’s next for Tartu & Southern Estonia? How do we sustain the synergy, creativity, and connections that ECoC ignited?
💡 More than just presentations!
Kultuurikompass forum is also a chance to connect, collaborate, and celebrate. We have planned an evening programme that blends culture, conversation, and a bit of well-earned fun. Join us for discussions, reflections, and future planning.
We will present the Tartu 2024 final report
The Tartu 2024 final report tells the story of a long journey divided into three stages: winning the ECoC title, preparing and delivering the programme, and the legacy.
We aim to answer three key questions:
- What was done within Tartu 2024?
- How did it go and what did we achieve?
- What are the benefits: what changed in Tartu and South Estonia, what changed across different fields, and what is likely to happen next?
