Info

The group exhibition “Look into my Ice” increases the empathy towards ice, which is one of the strongest indicators regarding the devastating impact of the human made climate crisis.

Ice and its importance regarding this has been discussed and proved for decades. By this the topic turned into something we are used to, the normality within the catastrophe. Therefore, this exhibition sets a romantic statement to enhance our warmest feelings towards the coldest entity on this planet. This project aims to increase emotions through understanding climate processes, support the transdisciplinary exchange between art and science to invite and attract a broad audience.

Artists from Estonia, Norway, Austria and Germany will be invited to join the Tartu Art House exhibition with topically and regionally related artworks which already exist or will be explicitly altered, enhanced and/ or produced for Tartu 2024.

Exhibition is a part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main programme.
