European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 invites everyone to take part in the festive opening weekend of the title year and the opening ceremony in the heart of Tartu, on the banks of the Emajõgi River. Let's meet, dance, cheer - a unique year begins in Tartu and Southern Estonia.

On the evening of 26 January, the spectacle “All becomes One” will take place, which talks about the interconnectedness of people, regions and eras through images, movement and music. In the performance that will be performed only once, loved music artists, actors, dancers, as well as completely unexpected new creative groups and the future talents of Tartu and Southern Estonia will appear in front of the audience.

Southern Estonia also celebrates the beginning of the European Capital of Culture with exciting pre- and post-celebrations in the cities of Viljandi, Valga, Võru and Põlva.
