Info

The legendary Linda Community Center revives the tradition of long table parties for one evening and invites everyone on a lively retro journey through the region's cultural history. "...Where those hens drink gold, where those roosters bring golden eggs… "

The evening begins with a musical performance called “Creation Story,” created by Vootele Ruusmaa, set on Little-Boose Lake.
Guests will be welcomed to a long-table feast in the hall. The table is set with 1980s party food, including local chicken and fish. The orchestra “Estraadiraadio” with Kaire Vilgats will provide music for dancing. The party will also feature real celebrities! Kalmer Tennosaar, the first artist to perform at Linda community center, will surely make an appearance. The local community grew to love him so much that he was awarded the title of honorary citizen of Linda collective farm.
An artwork titled “Kobela Rooster,” created collaboratively by Estonian and Polish sculptors, will be unveiled.
Director of the event: Tarmo Tagamets
Composer of the Performance: Vootele Ruusmaa
Light and Video: Production by Rain Aunapu

This former collective farm cultural center and architectural gem of Antsla municipality houses the largest hall in Southern Estonia, accommodating 1500 people. It has always been a favorite gathering place for the community and is known for its long-table parties throughout the ages.
