Info

The traditional autumn fair offers a wide range of handicrafts, local food and fresh autumn produce.

Mary’s Fair is part of the additional programme of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024.
The traditional autumn fair offers a wide range of handicrafts, local food and fresh autumn produce.
In the folk calendar, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Day is associated with the signs of the arrival of autumn and the ripening of the apples, so you can find both the typical flavours of apples and other autumn fruits inherent to Terra Mariae at the fair. Of course, other exciting Estonian foods and traditional handicrafts will not be overlooked. Delicious Estonian food and authentic handicrafts are available for everyone to buy.
Mary’s Fair is not just about buying and selling. It’s an event for the whole family and friends! At the fair you’ll meet old friends, find exciting new flavours and dance away on the dancefloor.
For years, Mary’s Fair has brought hundreds of vendors and thousands of buyers to Tartu. The fair is located in a large area of the city centre, from Avaturg Market to Town Hall Square and from Emajõgi River to Küüni tänav.
