Musical summer production – „Eesti päästmine“
„Eesti päästmine“ is humorous open air production, which action takes place nowadays. Rural people left between lost municipalities and closed institutions don’t know, where to find help.
Yet help arrives itself in the character of prophet Maltsvet, with whom help the whole company of great figures from the Age of Awakening time are invited to save Estonia – like Hurt, Jakobson, Koidula etc.
Productions common theme is the Age of Awakening great figures aspirations to lead Estonia to blossom again. Productions is enriched by ensemble Valem Vale, who has written music for the play inspired from the Age of Awakening poetry.
„Eesti päästmine“ belongs to European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 program line „Omapära ja Euroopa“.
Performance is in Estonian language.
