Come and see how to take care of your garden in a noise-free and biodiversity-friendly way!
* Experienced scythe mower Avo Rosenvald shows basic mowing techniques.
* Jonas Nahkor talks and shows different types of scythes and how to maintain and repair them.
* Gloria Niin and Triin Nõu talk and show how to use the obtained thread in the garden.
The event will take place in Emajõe aed community garden. The garden is located next to Lodjakoda.
Come by foot or by bicycle!
🚲 The garden is conveniently reached by a bicycle road running along the Emajõgi river. There is also a Smart Bike Share bicycle parking lot nearby.
🚶♀️🚶♂️ Within a 25 minute walk from town hall square.
🚌 Closest bus stop is Risti (on Puiestee street), buses no 4 and 10 stop there. Bus stop is 650 meters from the garden.
When you come by a car, you can park in the beach parking lot or on Ujula street.
The event is part of the audience program of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 project “Growing with Your Food”.
“Growing with Your Food” project is led by the Research Centre of Organic Farming of Estonian University of Life Sciences, Estonian Green School initiative and Tartu Nature House, partnered by European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024.
