Tartu 2024 does not provide accommodation services itself and has not in any way verified the legality of the advertisements or the background of the advertisers. The parties are themselves responsible for background checks on advertisers, the quality of lodging, and the fulfilment of agreements between the housing service provider and the recipient. Claims relating to the accommodation service must be made to the agreement’s other party.

Tartu, together with Southern Estonia is the European Capital of Culture in 2024. Major events attract many domestic and international tourists, increasing the need for accommodation. We invite everyone in the European Capital of Culture region to share an available room, bed, apartment, or part of a house so that all culture enthusiasts can find a place to stay.

Expectations for accommodation providers

• We expect the accommodation to be safe, clean, tidy, and ready to accept guests – the kind of place where you would want to spend the night.
• We ask for reasonable prices. The initiative’s motto is “hospitality.” This is how we communicate the idea that visitors are warmly welcomed in Southern Estonia.
• PS! Tartu 2024 reserves the right not to publish an advertisement if it does not meet good practice and ethics standards.
